Monday, March 27, 2017 -
5:00pm to 7:30pm

Community members, service providers, and students are invited to attend this Symposium to learn about the emerging topic of infant mental health as it relates to child development and parental relationships.

Hosted by the University of Pittsburgh and PAEYC, presenters will: explain the concept of infant mental health; discuss and define the impact of adverse childhood interactions, trauma, and toxic stress; explore some of the situations in which they occur; and potential intervention/support strategies. Panel members will answer related questions in the context of their field and exhibitors will provide valuable information and resources to the individuals in attendance in hopes to spread the word and increase knowledge and accessibility of available supports.
