Spend the day investigating, observing and using all your senses in Pittsburgh’s largest park, Frick Park. Put on your hiking boots and explore a new classroom that encourages children to play, be hands-on and engage in the environment. In this session we will share and explore ways to create outdoor learning experiences and identify methods to engage children and families in environmental education. We will discuss strategies for leading a hike, park safety concerns and how to take advantage of teachable moments. There is no better classroom than the one right outside your door!
This professional development is brought to you by PAEYC and TekStart.
